As U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) further implements the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE), it is imperative that importers have the necessary tools and knowledge to manage their transactions with CBP, by navigating the ACE Portal and taking advantage of the many benefits that it provides. One of the key values of the ACE Portal is the reporting capability, giving importers and brokers access to information, including transaction and financial data, identification of unauthorized filers, liquidation reports, and post summary visibility.
The United States Fashion Industry Association (USFIA) and our 2016/2017 Partners PwC and OHL will host an interactive ACE Portal Training Workshop. The schedule for the day includes:
9:00 AM to 10:00 AM: Overview Session Hosted by PwC, Featuring Kathleen Currid, Import Specialist Branch Chief for U.S. Customs & Border Protection at JFK
10:00 AM to 12:00 PM: ACE Portal Training Workshop Hosted by OHL. You will have the opportunity to log in to your own portal account and navigate the system with guidance from OHL experts, as well as Carlos Rodriguez, ACE Account Services in the ACE Business Office of U.S. Customs & Border Protection. If you want to participate in the interactive training, bring your laptop and portal account login information! (If you don't have ACE portal access, you are welcome to join to pick up helpful tips and information.)
"The ACE Portal Reports workshop in San Francisco that OHL presented with Customs was really helpful! I got a lot out of the 'hands-on; training format where Customs and OHL walked us through the portal and the reports section, highlighting some of the most useful reports for importers and pointing out common report prep errors and troubleshooting tips for reports to run successfully. Using our laptops and portal logins, we got to apply what was presented to prepare and schedule a couple reports during the workshop. I particularly appreciated the practical advice that Sandy Coty of OHL offered us from her extensive experience working with so many of the ACE portal reports. And you get a very handy guide on running ACE reports to take away with you!" - Karen Wilder of The Gymboree Corporation on the 2/11 Workshop in San Francisco
This workshop is intended for brands and retailers. This is not a networking event. If you are not employed by a brand, retailer, or importer, you are welcome to register for the waitlist. We will open registration to the waitlist by Monday, March 28th if space is available.
