The United States Fashion Industry Association (IHKIB) is excited to announce that we are partnering with the Istanbul Apparel Exporters’ Association (IHKIB) as our Sourcing Partner for 2020. IHKIB will help us deliver updates to global brands and retailers about the sourcing outlook in Turkey, as well as opportunities to increase U.S.-Turkey trade.

IHKIB, with more than 10,000 member exporter companies, is the biggest sectorial institution in the apparel industry of Turkey. IHKIB’s main goal is to increase Turkey’s apparel exports and to promote the industry globally. IHKIB works to achieve this goal by providing consultancy service to the members in trade related areas, organizing national participation to international fairs, trade and buyer missions, and conducting educational activities and projects to improve design capacity, digitalization, and sustainability of the industry.

Turkey is currently the sixth apparel supplier worldwide, with knit products being the highest category in Turkey’s apparel exports. Turkey is ready to be a partner and a major supplier for the U.S. market with its competent production and investment capacity. With dedication to fast and flexible supply process, sustainability and corporate social responsibility, proficiency in fashion design and design skill, sustainable production practices, ready to buy collection and quick response to fashion, Turkey is becoming an appealing sourcing destination for brands and retailers.

In 2020, IHKIB will provide insights into topics such as:
