On July 8, 2014, the United States Fashion Industry Association (USFIA) published an op-ed in the Sourcing Journal on the need to make Free Trade Agreements, and especially the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), work for our industry. USFIA President Julia K. Hughes argues that while TPP could be a game changer for our industry and the broader U.S. economy, the data shows that companies will not take advantage of it unless there are dramatic changes to the rules of origin and market access provisions.
