USFIA Advocacy Priority: Improving Supply Chains
The United States Fashion Industry Association (USFIA) works with industry coalitions as well as congressional leadership to improve supply chains, with the goal of discussing solutions before there are disruptions in the supply chain—such as support for the early negotiation of the next contract by the International Longshore & Warehouse Union (ILWU) and Pacific Maritime Association (PMA).
USFIA educates Congress and the Administration about industry efforts to promote transparency in supply chains and ensure supply chains promote human dignity and labor rights—as well as the drawbacks of an onerous “one size fits all” approach to these issues.
