USFIA & PwC Apparel Importers Seminar & Reception

The United States Fashion Industry Association (USFIA) and PwC invite you to our annual pre-conference event and reception. Join your peers the afternoon before the 28^th Annual Apparel Importers Trade and Transportation Conference to hear presentations from Eric Batt, Director of the CBP Center of Excellence & Expertise for Apparel, Footwear, & Textiles, a demonstration by a National Import Specialist, and a discussion hosted by PwC’s Customs and International Trade experts titled “Looking at Customs Valuation through a Global Lens.” Networking and a cocktail reception will cap off the afternoon.

Program Details

Eric Batt, Director of the CBP Center of Excellence & Expertise for Apparel, Footwear, & Textiles, will join us for an update on the CEE's activities and the outlook for textile and apparel customs policy initiatives like the Single Window. He will be joined by Mitchel Landau, Assistant Center Director for the Validation & Compliance Division. Mitchel is based in Newark.

Then, we'll hear from National Import Specialists based in the New York City office about recent developments in classification and compliance, with some real-life examples to give you insight into how they make their classification decisions.

PwC's Customs and International Trade experts Anthony Tennariello and Maytee Pereira will provide you with the most recent customs valuation updates throughout the globe. Our speakers will give their unique insight on topics such as current audit environments, customs challenges to Transfer Pricing, new European regulations and what to expect in China, and Korea, amongst others.
