In a Federal Register notice scheduled for publication on March 17, U.S. Customs and Border Protection will issue a final rule adopting regulations affecting country of original declaration for textile and apparel imports. The interim regulation was published on October 5, 2005 to reflect the expiration of the Agreement on Textiles and Clothing (ATC), which marked the end of the global quota system.
