The textile industry is changing rapidly in China and Asia. Labor costs, cotton prices, industrial transfer, the TPP negotiations, and sustainability are just a few of the issues influencing the development of textile and apparel industry. The China & Asia Textile Forum 2014 will help companies understand the latest developments in the apparel supply chain, and help them better adapt to the market situation and policy changes, deal with risk, and seize opportunities.
From January 16-17, 2014, ECV Company and the China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Textiles & Apparel (CCCT) will host the China & Asia Textile Forum 2014, featuring discussions on the state of the textile and apparel industry in China and Greater Asia, as well as an exhibition of over 40 Chinese textile and apparel suppliers. The United States Fashion Industry Association (USFIA) is pleased to support this event as the Official Media Partner. USFIA President Julia K. Hughes will also speak about the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and its impact on the Asian textile and apparel industry.
In addition to Hughes, speakers include Jiang Hui, Chairman of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Textiles & Apparel (CCCT), as well as representatives from the
Korea Federation of Textile Industries, the Textile Association of India, the Vietnam Textile & Apparel Association, the Garment Manufacturers Association in Cambodia, China Textile Entrepreneurs, and others.
