Fashion Dive: Shein reports 2 cases of child labor in its supply chain

Fashion Dive is reporting that Shein discovered two cases of child labor during their responsible sourcing audits covering the first 3 quarters of 2023. Shein suspended orders from the manufacturers involved, gave suppliers 30 days to remediate their offenses, terminated contracts with the underage employees and confirmed payment of outstanding wages. No cases of child or forced labor were identified in Q4 of 2023 and a representative from Shein was not available for comment.
