This is the final OFF THE CUFF Member Newsletter for 2015! We want to take a break from planning the exciting year ahead, and take a look back on all we’ve accomplished...
Until then, in case you missed it, be sure to visit our OFF THE CUFF archives as well as our webinar library. This year was an incredibly exciting year for trade policy. We kicked off 2015 by celebrating the 10th anniversary of the end of the quotas, and ring in 2016 with the conclusion of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations and the renewal of the African Growth & Opportunity Act (AGOA), not to mention progress on other critical trade agenda items, which will set the stage for continuing to eliminate trade barriers next year. USFIA’s 2015 Sourcing Report highlighted sourcing trends and analysis, while USFIA’s 2015 Fashion Industry Benchmarking Study featured the views of 30 leading companies, allowing the industry’s voice to be heard in media outlets and conferences around the world.
In 2015, we traveled to New York and Las Vegas, to the China & Asia Textile Forum in Beijing and the World Trade Organization in Geneva and Kingpins in Amsterdam, to your laptops and mobile phones for 30 webinars and online training sessions.
Finally, we can’t forget our partners: Premier Partner PwC, Customs Broker Partner OHL, Innovation Partner Amber Road, and Sourcing Supporter PROCOLOMBIA. These companies provided timely education and intelligence, and supported our advocacy work, and we are excited to announce our activities next year.
We wish you all a happy holiday season and new year, and look forward to seeing you next year—beginning with USFIA’s State of the Industry virtual, members-only town hall on January 7, 2016!
