On Thursday, November 8th, USA-ITA and Squire Sanders will host a webinar on the Securities & Exchange Commission’s (SEC) conflict minerals rule and what apparel importers need to know. As you know, the SEC recently issued regulations requiring all reporting companies to disclose whether they utilize conflict minerals--such as gold, tin, and cassiterite--in their supply chains. The SEC’s new rules pose a particular challenge for apparel producers and retailers who don’t directly control the acquisition of inputs that may qualify as conflict minerals. Click here to register.
