For the past few years, Vietnam’s economy developed rapidly with great growth stamina. Thanks to cheap labor cost and preferential policies, Vietnam has become the ideal destination for labor-intensive industries. The textile industry is a classic labor-intensive industry. The industry has become the third-largest export sector and has contributed prominently to earning foreign exchanges and increasing employment. And Vietnam is poised to enjoy the most preferential trade treatment, unmatched by any other countries.
The Vietnam Textile Summit on June 29-30, 2016 in Ho Chi Minh City will deeply analyze Vietnam's textile industry to help buyers make better sourcing decisions and understand the Vietnam textile market. And, it will also help suppliers to avoid risks and find opportunities. Meanwhile, it is also a platform for exchanges, communication, and mutual assistance.
Julia K. Hughes, President of the United States Fashion Industry Association (USFIA), will speak about the Trans-Pacific Partnership at the conference. Additional speakers include representatives from Vietnam's Ministry of Trade, Vietnam Textile & Apparel Association (VITAS), APL Logistics, H&M, Intertek, New Balance, PVH Corp., and more.
