First, that the industry needs to find more ways to protect our reputation. Every time that there is a disaster in a far-away land, there are some people who charge that apparel companies only care about finding the lowest price products. We know from our work with the industry that the attacks are not accurate. Companies spend substantial amounts of time and substantial amounts of money to develop and implement programmes to improve working conditions and the rights of workers in apparel factories around the world.
