The United States Association of Importers of Textiles and Apparel has elected Maureen Gray, vice president of international trade for Polo Ralph Lauren, as its new chairman.
“I'm looking forward to positioning USA-ITA as a leader in promoting free and open trade in this uncertain political and global climate,” Gray said.
“We have some work to do to ensure that the free trade agreements and preference programs are true twenty-first century agreements, but I'm confident that we have the expertise and support to accomplish our goals.”
Other officers elected to the USA-ITA Board include John Clark, vice president, Michar LLC, as vice-chairman; Michael Singer, director, customs and social compliance, Macy’s Merchandising Group, as treasurer; and Steve Odom, director, international trade and regulatory compliance, Eddie Bauer, as secretary.
USA-ITA represents apparel manufacturers and brands, distributors, retailers, importers, and related service providers, such as shipping lines and customs brokers.
