USFIA Statement on the Court of International Trade Decision Directing CBP to Refund IEEPA Tariffs
WASHINGTON, D.C. – USFIA President Julia Hughes issued the following statement:
“We applaud today's decision by the Court of International Trade that directs U.S. Customs and Border Protection to refund the IEEPA tariffs. Attorneys are reviewing the language, but the intent of the CIT is clear. We look forward to a quick, efficient and automatic refunds of the IEEPA tariffs.
This decision will improve affordability for American families and consumers, and will remove the economic uncertainty that has held back many companies from making new investments."
